Yeah, we are sorry we have rules, but a website needs to have rules to keep everybody in line. They aren't as strict as other sites.

The Rules

1) You HAVE to be 13 years old or older to join this site. This rule is not just our rule, but a rule of Proboards.

2) All characters MUST have a first and last name. Your character will not be approved unless it has both a first and last name. Middle names are optional. This is because we are trying our best to simulate Pirates of the Caribbean and having a name like "jackssecretlover" is not going to help. That could be your user name to sign in, but your display name must contain your character's full name.

3) Please do not send members PMs to join your site. We have a board dedicated to advertising but anywhere else is prohibited.

4) No more then 1 character per account: You can have as many characters as you want, but there can only be 1 character per account. It is very confusing for the other people on the site and those rping with you, so if you have more then once character we will ask you politely to change that name. No name changing either.

5) If your signature takes up a whole page, we will have to remove it. It is really annoying have to scroll through them and it makes the page longer. If you have a bunch of signatures you would like to show, then put them as a link. The standard size of a signature is 600x200, please follow that.

6) Activity is very important here as with all sites. I know some may need time off, that is perfectly fine just send an admin a PM letting them know when you might be returning. We check activity every 2 weeks, if you haven't logged in as your character you will loose them.

7) No Godmoding. You are not allowed to control other characters unless they give you full permission.

8) Under no circumstances is there to be drama between people in real life. We built this site to get away from drama.

Roleplaying Guide

Here are some rules to help other pirates or sailors understand what you just posted:

1) Please role play your character in third person form. It is really annoying when you come across people who roleplay in first or in any other form.
Wrong way: I was walking by the lake.
Right way: Mary was walking by the lake.

2) When your character is talking, please use quotation marks so that the other characters can tell if you are speaking. Also use italics for when your character is thinking.

3) Your character's name can not contain Sparrow, Jones, Barbossa, Swan, Turner, etc. Only canon characters may contain those names. If you do not change your name, then we will change the name for you.

4) Your character cannot, by any chance, be related to Sparrow's brother, Barbossa's granddaughter, Jones' god son, Turner's sister, etc. If that character is not in any of the movies and/or ride, then they cannot exist in this site. Please be creative and make up a different character that has their own relations.

5) Your character must be older then 20 to be able to crew a ship (captain a ship). Your character has to be 10 years or older to be a crewmen (this is for ye little cabin boys). You also need to be an experienced sailor to command a ship, please refer to The Naval Academy. Ships will only be commissioned by Hector Barbossa, Illane Thatcher, or Adrien Page.

6) Try to make your characters more realistic. British sailors hate pirates, pirates hate British sailor... etc.

7) Please remember that this is a roleplaying site. Please do not take it seriously if someone's character attacks your character. Your characters may hate each other, but just because someone's character is cruel does not mean that they are cruel in real life.

8) Only certain animals are allowed on ships. PM either Hector Barbossa, Illane Thatcher, or Adrien Page for approval to own one. If you have one against our wishes they it shall be supper for the crew that day.

9) Your character cannot murder another character unless you have their full permission. You would not want someone killing off your character, because it would mean the end of that character on the site. The same goes for boarding a vessel or attacking another vessel. You must have the permission of the captain of said vessel to do so.

10) Mature Threads: This site is a privately owned site that I have funded from my own pocket, and with such rights I have allowed mature threads to exist. A mature thread is a sexually oriented thread, but there are limits on this. Those threads must be done with the consent of both parties, both must be 16 or older. The thread must have a Mature warning either in the heading or within the first post of the thread.
